A wonderfully quick project to add an extra touch to your wardrobe. Worked with ruffle style yarn to provide quick thick stitches.
Knitting loom: Knitting loom with at least 12 pegs. Sample was knit on small 32 peg loom from the Loom Knitting Basics Kit
Yarn: 1 skein of ruffle style yarn. Sample used Flora Rozetti in Green Meadow (green sample) and Stormy (dark gray sample). Rosette-worsted weight yarn in color of choice and a crochet hook size I.
Notions: Knitting tool, tapestry needle.
Gauge: not relevant for this project
sl=slip–skip peg with yarn behind the peg
Use three pegs as 1 peg.
Cast on 4 sts, prepare to work a flat panel.
Row 1: Sl 1, k to the end.
Repeat Row 1 until only 10 inches remain of yarn.
Bind off with basic bind off method.
Join bind off edge to cast on edge by mattress stitch.
Weave ends in.
Rosette was crochet.
Leave a 12 inch length of yarn for sewing. Chain 60.
Row 1 (Wrong side): Dc 60 across.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn; 5 dc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next ch-2 sp, (6 dc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next ch-2 sp) 10
times, finish off leaving a 5″ length for weaving ends.
Thread the tapestry needle with yarn from the beginning end. Roll the rose, petal by petal. Form it with your hands. Once the rose is to your desired specifications, sew the rose securely with the yarn coming from the beginning tail.
Sew the rose at the mattress stitch seam point of the necklace.
