PATTERN NOTES
SIZE INSTRUCTIONS: Instructions are written for adult size with baby and child in parenthesis. If working the adult size, use the number that is listed first. If working the baby size, used the first number in the parenthesis. If working the child size, work the second number in the parenthesis. For example, if the pattern reads “P5(3,4)”, it means the following: adult size – purl 5, baby size – purl 3, child size – purl 4. If there are not any numbers in parenthesis, work all sizes as it is written.
Cables stitches may be worked with a cable needle if desired. Otherwise use the instructions for crossing the cables in the Special Stitch Instructions.
On cable rounds in the Crown where the 4 stitches are not evenly over 2 links, either use a cable needle or move the stitch after the 4th stitch over on top of the next stitch. Then move the 4 stitches for the cable evenly over the 2 links. Work the cable as instructed then place the stitches so that there is only 1 stitch per peg.
When working the increase round, add a link for the first Make 1 Purl. Then move each stitch that is worked onto the empty peg until the next Make 1 Purl.
When working the decrease rounds, after the decrease stitch, move each stitch to the empty peg left by the decrease until 2 empty pegs are on 1 link. Remove the link with the empty pegs.
INSTRUCTIONS
Set up loom with 80(64,72) pegs using 40(32,36) links. Place stitch marker the right peg of the link for peg 1. Prepare to work clockwise in the round.
