KO – Knit over
EW – E-Wrap
Color A – Green
Color B – Orange
Pattern Notes: This pattern works with chart below. Work outer loom with color B, work inner loom with color A, except where marked on chart with ‘X’.
U Wrap: Wrap yarn around the front of the peg in a ‘U’ shape.
Two Color Reversible Technique: Work with 2 colors of yarn at the same time. Twist A and B clockwise, 2 times so that color B faces the outer loom and color A is toward the inner loom. Wrap same peg on both inner and outer looms. For the next stitch, wrap both strands 2 times counterclockwise between next pegs both inner and outer loom with color A toward the outer loom and color B, the inner. Note: Alternating the wrapping direction keeps the yarn from twisting. See video.
Cast on 32 pegs using color A.
Row 1: work in u-wrap stitch to end of row.
Tie on color B.
Next rows: Continue in u-wrap following the chart below.
Repeat chart 11 times.
Cut color B and work one round in color A.
Basic Bind Off:
Move all stitches on the inside loom to the corresponding pegs on the outside loom, then KO. Use basic bind off to remove stitches.
Step 1: EW peg 1 and 2, KO.
Step 2: Remove stitch from 2nd peg and place on 1st peg, KO.
Step 3: Move stitch from 1st peg to 2nd peg.
Repeat Step 1-3 until 1 stitch is left.
Cut yarn at least 4 inches long. Remove the last stitch from the loom and pull the yarn tail through the loop. Then weave in all ends.
Chart is read top to bottom. Horizontal numbers correspond to the same peg number on the loom. Vertical numbers are the rows/round.
Empty boxes = A (Green) yarn
“X” boxes = B (Orange)
Note: You can switch the background/foreground color after row 17 and 34 to create a different color effect.
