MATERIALS

Knitting Loom:
52 peg, fine sett/gauge knitting loom (pegs spaced at ¼ from center to center). Sock loom by the knittingboard.com company is recommended.

Yarn: Knit Picks Comfy, 2 skeins: one skein color Sea Foam; one skein color Crème Brulee. Yarn content: 75% Pima Cotton, 25%
acrylic; Weight: 50g; Length: 109yds

Notions: Knitting tool

Other: 1” Fun Button in complimentary colors

Gauge: 11sts and 15 rows=2 inches. However, gauge is not important.

Size: Approx: 9.5 inches wide x 16 inches long

Loom Knitting Level: Advanced Beginner

Loom Knitting Skills: knit stitch, purl stitch, knit 2 stitches together (k2tog), flat panel knitting.

Pattern notes:
Knit: refers to the knit stitch not the e-wrap/twisted knit stitch. You may
substitute with the flat stitch

k2tog (knit two stitches together): how to: move the stitch from the peg 1 over to peg 2. Treat both stitches
on the peg as one and then knit the peg.
Stitch Patterns

Garter Stitch
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Repeat above rows to create 1 garter stitch ridge.

Basket Weave
Multiple of 8+ 4

Yarn Colors
~A stands for Sea foam color yarn
~B stands for Crème Brulee color yarn

BO=Bind Off (basic removal method)
k= knit
p= purl
k2tog= Knit two stitches together

DIRECTIONS

With A, CO 52 sts, prepare to work a flat panel

R1-R6: Work in Garter Stitch (3 garter stitch
ridges)

Cut A and join B.
R7: k4, p4 (k4, p4) 5 times, k4
R8: p4, p4, (k4, p4) 5 times, p4
R9: Same as R7
R10: Same as R8
R11: k4, k4 (p4, k4) 5 times, k4
R12: p4, k4 (p4, k4) 5 times, p4
R13: Same as R11
R14: Same as R12
Repeat R7-R14: 9 more times.
Repeat R7-R10.

Cut B and Join A continue to Top Edging instructions

Top Edging
Work 8 rows of Garter Stitch (4 garter stitch ridges)

Shaping
*Next row: k2tog, k2tog, knit to last 4 stitches, k2tog, k2tog
Next row: p*
Repeat from * to * until 8 stitches remain

Button Band
Rows 1-20: On remaining 8 stitches, work 20 rows
in Garter Stitch (10 garter stitch ridges total)
Next row: k3, bo2, k3
Next 4 rows: Work 4 rows in Garter Stitch (2 garter
stitch ridges).

BO

Finishing
Attach button to bottom of the 8 stitch section and secure the button.

Block lightly.
