ABBREVIATIONS:
K= uwrap stitch/flat stitch
P= purl stitch
K2tog= knit two stitches together
Legs: make 8
Configure loom to 20 pegs.
In grey ewrap cast on 20 pegs, prepare to work in the round.
Rows 1-20: knit to the end of the row
Cut grey, tie on contrast color.
Row 21: knit row
Row 22: purl row
Repeat rows 21 & 22 for a total of 6 rows.
Row 27: k2tog to end of row
Bind off using gather bind off method.
Tighten cast on and set aside.
Bottom:
Configure loom to 44 pegs.
In grey ewrap cast on 44 pegs, prepare to work in the round.
Rows 1-8: knit to the end of the row.
Row 9: k2tog to end of row
Bind off using gather bind off method.
Tighten cast on and set aside.
Body:
Configure loom to 44 pegs.
In grey ewrap cast on 44 pegs, prepare to work in the round.
Rows 1-28: knit to the end of the row.
Row 29: k2tog to end of row
Bind off using gather bind off method.
Tighten cast on and set aside.
TO FINISH:
Using poly-fil to lightly stuff the legs and sew shut.
Sew the legs to the bottom piece with the bottom piece showing knit side down.
Attach safety eyes to the body and stuff the body.
Sew body piece to the bottom piece.
Love this adorable Octopus. Would love to make one as a baby gift and stitch the eyes on for safety. Should be easily held by a little one, thanks for the free pattern
Thank you for free pattern.I can not remember but there is a charity that excepts these for baby s . Just I think you have to sew eyes on.
