INSTRUCTIONS

Cuff and Leg
Rnd 1-25 (or 2.5”): In color A, *k2, p2, k, p, k, p; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 26-80 (or 4.5”): In color B, k 64 sts.
Heel
Join color C and use color C for heel. Do not cut color B.
Place peg markers on pegs 1 and 32. Pegs 1-32 are all the pegs that will be worked for the heel. Pegs 12-21 are the pegs that will be left unwrapped during the w&t process.
Refer to Short-row heel/toe instructions at the end of the pattern for specific details.
Foot
Work appropriate length for foot size (5.5” for men’s 10.5 US size foot) in the following pattern (sample used 70 rnds);
For the first round, * knit in color C from peg 1 to 32. Next, knit pegs 64 to 33 in color B. You will now have two yarn strands between pegs 32 and 33.
For the next round, cross over the yarn strands twice (one complete twist) and knit in color C from peg 32 to 1. Next, knit in color B from peg 33 to 64. The two yarn strands are now between pegs 1 and 64*. Again, cross over the yarn strands twice to prepare for the next row.
Repeat from *. Each repeat creates two rounds—the first round ending with two strands between pegs 32 and 33, and the next round ending between pegs 1 and 64.
Crossing the two strands will eliminate any holes at the seams of the contrasting colors.
Toe
Create the toe in the exact same way as the heel using color C. Refer to Short-row heel/toe instructions at the end of pattern for specific details.
After working the toe, knit one round in color C.
Finishing
Keeping all sts from twisting, place the first 32 sts onto a double pointed needle, or on one side of a long circular needle. Place the remaining 32 sts onto another double pointed needle, or the other side of a long circular needle.
BO all sts using the Kitchener Stitch, or 3 Needle BO, as seen in the following tutorial: https://www.knittingboard.com/kitchener-stitch-page/
Weave in all loose ends.
