Notions: knitting tool, tapestry needle, scissors. Gauge: 12 sts x 16 rows = 4”
k2tog=knit two stitches together for decrease. Lift the stitch off peg 1 and place on peg 2. Now peg 1 is empty, and peg 2 holds (2) stitches. Knit peg 2 treating both loops as one.
p2tog=purl two stitches together for decrease. Lift the stitch off peg 1 and place on peg 2. Now peg 1 is empty, and peg 2 holds (2) stitches. Purl peg 2 treating both loops as one.
Assemble 22 (24, 28, 30, 32) links into a circle configuration. 44 (48, 56, 60, 64) sts
Round 1- Round 4, (5, 6, 8, 10): *k2, p2; rep from * to end of rnd. Next round: *k1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Next round: *k1, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Next round: *p1, k1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rep last 2 rounds until hat measures approx. 5.5 (6.5, 7, 7.5, 8) inches from cast on edge.
Next round: *k2tog, p2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. 22 (24, 28, 30, 32 sts rem).
Next round: *p2tog, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. Half the stitches remain on the loom.
Bind off with gather removal method.
