Special Holiday Donations!

The Holidays are right around the corner, and the cold winds are starting to blow in most areas.  We sincerely hope that everyone has everything they need to be safe and warm throughout the upcoming winter months. But the truth is, not everyone will be prepared.  Let’s all get together and knit a warm hat or scarf for our less fortunate neighbors.

KB Looms is once again gathering some hand knit hats for donation to two chosen missions, so they can get them to those most in need.

We will pack them up on December 20th and get them to the folks in Colorado or Mass (your choice). Please feel free to include a personal note with your hand knit to wish the recipient a Blessed Holiday.

Springs Rescue Mission in Colorado Springs. Warm, safe beds save lives. The year-round, low-barrier shelter for the homeless in Colorado Springs has one simple purpose: keep people safe, warm and alive. Meals and warm clothing is given for those who are sleeping outside, or staying at the mission.

Ecclesia Ministries, located in Boston Massachusetts.  The Ecclesia community provides a street ministry, visiting people on the streets, on benches, where meals are served, in railway stations, etc. They provide for immediate needs (food, blanket, warm coat, warm hats and scarves, and medical emergency), invite people to talk about God, and to pray together.

If you prefer to send your donations direct to your local rescue, just send us the name of that charity, so we know of your  participation.

Thank you, everyone, and may you all have a wonderful, Blessed Holiday Season.

Please send any warm items that you have knit and wish to donate to us.

KB Looms, Attn:  Teri.

Are you just accepting hats, or are scarves accepted?

  2. Do I send to you in Virginia or to the Ecclesia Ministry in Massachusetts ?

  3. The donations announcement mentioned hats, but anything warm that you can knit up to keep someone warmer is wonderful. So hats, scarves, slippers or ear warmers are all welcome. Thanks to everyone working on a donation to send.
We will be mailing from our warehouse in Virginia, all the donations that are received. Your are most welcome to send to the Ministry direct and let them know that it’s part of the national effort from KB Looms. I’m sure they will welcome all gifts with open arms.
Thanks to everyone that makes this special effort.
