Stockinette Stitch
This stitch is worked with the same process as Stockinette
Cast On. It creates a smooth even knit pattern.
1. Weave front to back, starting by wrapping the 1st pin on top board, and bring down to 2nd pin on bottom. Wrap every other pin to end of row.
2. Turn your board around; bring yarn around both end pins, and continue to weave the open pins. You will still be weaving in an “every other pin” pattern. Hook over all pins on the row.
Note: Hook over from each side edge, left end to center, and right end to center. This will keep the edges more even. Repeat this hook over on all rows, but vary the center point to keep the knitting from having a center line.
