INSTRUCTIONS
Hat
In main color, cast on all 60 pegs with basic Stockinette stitch working in the round in double knit, lay anchor yarn in contrast color.

Rows 1-5: work in rib stitch
Row 6: work in stockinette stitch
Cut main color, tie on contrast color.
Row 7: work in stockinette stitch
Cut contrast color, tie on white.
Rows 8-17: work in stockinette stitch
Cut white, tie on contrast color.
Row 18: work in stockinette stitch
Cut contrast color, tie on main color.
Rows 19-28: work in stockinette stitch
Move the inner loom loops to the outer loom. The inner loom will be empty and the outer loom will have 2 loops on each peg. Lift the bottom loops over the top loops so there are only just 1 loop on each of the pegs. Remove the inner loom topper.
The remainder of the hat will be worked in single knit.
Rows 29-33: work in rib stitch (knit 2, purl 2)
Bind off by using the gather bind off method, weave in all yarn ends. Crochet the cast on edge and remove anchor yarn.
Scarf
In main color, cast on 19 pegs with basic Stockinette stitch working as a flat panel in double knitting, lay anchor yarn in contrast color.
Rows 1-10: work in stockinette stitch
Cut main color, tie on contrast color.
Row 11: work in stockinette stitch
Cut contrast color, tie on white.
Rows 12-31: work in stockinette stitch
Cut white, tie on contrast color.
Row 32: work in stockinette stitch
Cut contrast color, tie on main color.
Rows 33-152: work in stockinette stitch
Cut main color, tie on contrast color.
