INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 56 sts, prepare to work in the round.
Rnd 1-12: *k2, p2; rep from * to end rnd.
Rnd 13: *k3, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 14: k to end of rnd.
Rep Rows 13-14 until item measures approximately 6 inches from cast on edge.
Decrease rnd: Move the stitches from the odd-numbered pegs to the even-numbered pegs (from 1 to 2, from 3 to 4, etc.,). *k to end of rnd.
Bind off with cinched closure. Weave all ends in.
Steam block/wet block.
LOOM: Baby Knit Loom, 56 peg.
YARN: Approx 90 yards of wosted weight superwash merino wool. Malabrigo Rios in Ankara Green (less than 1 skein) was used in sample.
NOTIONS: knitting tool, tapestry needle, row counter (optional).
GAUGE: 9 sts X 16 rows = 2 inches (blocked).
SIZE: Fits a newborn baby (approximately 11 inches in circumference).
